Did you know that swooshing with oil every morning can improve gum health, whiten your teeth, clear your digestion and remove toxins from the mouth and colon as well as clear the skin? Yes! That’s right! Oil pulling is the very ancient technique of mouth washing. Instead of using products with artificial flavoring, sweeteners and alcohol that overtime may cause harm to your mouth, try this soothing and very detoxing form of mouth washing. You can use sesame oil or coconut oil. Either one is great, it just depends on your tastes preferences. I like using coconut oil in the hot summer months since it is a cooling oil and sesame in the winter months since it is a heating oil. Instructions: First thing in the morning before brushing, rinse the mouth with water. Use 2 tsp or more if needed of oil. Swish for 15-20 mins. Then spit oil in the trash (do not spit it down the drain or toilet). To finish swish well with warm water, then brush teeth with regular toothpaste or tooth powder. This is a wonderful therapy to do and while you are swishing away you can clean, make your bed, get your self ready for the day. The benefits are amazing and the results can be seen in just a few weeks!
